Disquiet. We should all experience disquiet and experience it frequently. It is in our disquiet that we hear a different voice, see a different perspective.

We live in a global world, a world full of people with different customs, philosophies, foods, music, clothing, religions, etc. If we are to co-exist, we need to hear those different voices, recognize those different perspectives. It is not about making us all agree. It is about choosing to accept we are have our differences, agreeing to disagree rather than hate, adopting a live and let live mindset when we don’t agree, because . . .

all those differences we have are also the things we have in common – that we have customs, philosophies, religions, etc. We are fundamentally the same. There are the simple things we have in common like we walk, talk, have families, friends, jobs. We also all feel joy, pain, fear, sorrow. We have the same essential needs to survive like to eat, sleep, have shelter, and be loved,

Challenging and questioning our own thoughts and ideas is the beginning of the process. Hopefully these posts instill a little disquiet in you.
